When Dixon Graphics added Direct-to-Garment t-shirt printing to our growing stable of services, we knew that one important ingredient would define our success: quality art. That’s why our very first creative partner became Mary Watt Yeadon of Bellflower Art, an automotive artist who captures the magic of vintage cars in her paintings.
We just finished the program booklets for Amasong’s Spring Concert which happens this weekend! If you haven’t heard Amasong – Champaign Urbana’s Premier Lesbian/Feminist Chorus – make sure you check them out. Details at their website. Dixon Graphics proudly supports Amasong by donating the layout of the booklets.
Birkey’s used our Cougar Natural house stock to print a four color poster on a natural or off-white background. I think this is a real good use of paper color in your design. You’re not limited to white paper when printing in color – many people (including myself) forget that fact.
We printed some nice looking recipe cards for Urbana’s Market at the Square. I can’t wait until May 2nd when the new season starts. I’m a big believer in buying local and that starts with the food we buy! We go through a lot of honey in our house and we always get the freshest honey here at the market on Saturday mornings.
We turned this beautiful image into a 4′ x 6′ banner for the Mississippi Pharaoh Project. The result was wonderful – a large canvas banner hemmed at the sides and UV Coated with a gloss finish. David Czuba photographed the late Charles Tatum’s sculptures and presented us with 12 images for printing. Tatum’s work, along with the banners we printed, are currently showing at the Maude Kearns Art Center in Eugene OR. Take a peek if you’re in the area. It will be well worth your time.
My wife and I took our kids to this event last year and they loved it! Dixon Graphics printed booklets and Bingo Cards for the United Way Young Children’s Expo which is happening this Saturday at Lincoln Square Mall. Touch a Truck was great – and don’t forget to get your Bingo Cards stamped throughout the mall.
